The harvesting season for original moonwood has begun in our forests.
Experts know that this wood, which is cut according to old tradition, is particularly durable, robust and dimensionally stable. It remains free of mould and insects. Moreover, moonwood is insensitive to fire. In old farmhouses, it was even used as a lining in the fireplace.
At Thoma, after all these years of research and use of moonwood as the central raw material, we are still fascinated by its properties. Therefore, these harvest days in January are very special days for us.
